C.O.O.L. Kids (Christ Our Only Lord)

Our COOL Kids ministry covers ages 2 through the 6th grade. 

Under this ministry we offer the following programs:

Children's Bible Hour:

During the Sunday morning worship service the children ages 2 through 9 are offered the opportunity to join Mr. Roy and Ms. Angie (and awesome helper Ms. Erica Gallagher) downstairs for some singing, puppets, and age appropiate lessons.  After the Lord's Supper the worship leader will dismiss the children wishing to go to Bible Hour who can meet Mr. Roy and Ms. Angie in the back of the auditorium.  They have an age appropriate bulletin that they receive each week.  Parents or Guardians can pick their children up downstairs in the Bible Hour Room after service.

Note-Takers:

For our 10 year old to 6th grade group (12 or 13 years old) we offer the Note Taker program.  This is a simple title that means exactly what it implies.  Our Note Takers take notes each Sunday morning during the service when the preacher is speaking.  They bring their notes down to Mr. Roy or Ms. Angie to check and verify that they were actually listening and taking notes.  Once a quarter, as a reward, we have certain activities.  Sometimes the activities are small, like miniture golf or bowling, and sometimes the rewards are larger, like a trip to St. Louis, Mammoth Cave, Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, and etc.  Our hope in offering this program is that the kids will become invested in what the preacher has to say.  At their age it is harder to keep your attention focused for 25 or 30 minutes, we hope that this program will help.  Mr. Roy went through a program much like this as a child and it really paid off for him.  To this day he still takes notes when he listens to a sermon!  It is our goal to help these kids in the same way!
